Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ModuBlox ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

ModuBlox provides a construction estimation platform that enables:

  • Generation of detailed construction cost estimates
  • Connection between homeowners and licensed contractors
  • Project management and contract tracking
  • Secure payment processing through escrow

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform
  • One account per person; sharing accounts is prohibited

4. Estimates and Pricing

Important: Estimates generated by ModuBlox are for informational purposes. Actual project costs may vary based on:

  • Local labor rates and material costs
  • Site-specific conditions
  • Contractor availability and specialization
  • Permit requirements and inspections

Always obtain formal quotes from licensed contractors before proceeding.

5. Contractor Requirements

Contractors using the Platform agree to:

  • Maintain valid licenses and insurance
  • Provide accurate business information
  • Honor quotes and timelines provided through the Platform
  • Comply with all applicable laws and building codes

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Circumvent the Platform to avoid fees
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Attempt to access unauthorized areas or data
  • Use automated systems to scrape or abuse the Platform

7. Payment Terms

  • Contractors pay for lead credits as indicated in pricing
  • Homeowners may pay through escrow for project milestones
  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • Refund policies are specified at time of purchase

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • ModuBlox is not liable for contractor performance or workmanship
  • Estimates are provided "as-is" without guarantees of accuracy
  • We are not responsible for disputes between users
  • Total liability is limited to fees paid in the preceding 12 months

9. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its code, design, and content, is owned by ModuBlox or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without explicit permission.

10. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Privacy. Upon termination, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.

11. Dispute Resolution

Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be settled through binding arbitration in Austin, Texas under AAA rules. Class actions are waived.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
